Ranch Life

Max's family owns a ranch in Northern California. We had the great pleasure of staying there for a few weeks while we were looking for a place of our own. Max had a lot of fun chopping wood, tending the garden, and helping out around the farm.

Showing off Dad's and Uncle John's wood pile.

Mason loves to say hi to the sheep.

The impressive garden that Max and Uncle John planted. Check out the corn!

Mason is quite the little River Rat. Any body of water that he comes to, he will jump right in. This little creek is on their property and Mason loves going there and throwing rocks and sticks into it.

Happy Birthday, Mason!

On May 10, Mason turned 2! We had a low-key party for him. He got to open his presents when he woke up and then we did cake after lunch.

Strawberry shortcake cupcakes, yum!

Tearing into them!

Yes, we got him a sword...and he loves it!

His new t-ball set

I think he likes it!

Disneyland!

This was the first time Max was able to go to Disneyland with us. We had a really great time! Whenever we asked Mason what he wanted to go on next, he would always say, "cars!"

Not sure if he likes it

Typical Mason face!

Cooling off

We were really nervous about taking Mason on the submarines, we thought he would hate it. Turns out it was one of his favorite rides! He was enthralled the entire time!

Don't worry, Max let him drive.

Sporting Events

We got to go to an Angel's game and a Duck's playoff game while we were in the OC. Mason was terrified of the Angel's game because it was so loud. But, the Duck's game was even louder and Mason loved it. He especially loved the zambonis that came out after every quarter.

Our view from our awesome seats! Thanks Neil!

Playing peek-a-boo

Let's go ducks!

The Family

Santa Ana Zoo

We also took a trip to the Santa Ana Zoo. Mason loved looking at all the animals and especially loved riding in the Jeep.

Here he is feeding the goat. Brave boy!

Prehistoric Zoo

While in Orange County we went to the Prehistoric Zoo, which has all sorts of reptiles and creepy animals! Unfortunately, we didn't take very many pictures, but Mason loved it! They had the biggest snakes I have ever seen! Here he is feeding the turtles.

Park at Grandma's

At the end of April, we spent a week and a half down in Orange County visiting Max's mom and other family members. While we were there, we spent a lot of time at the park by her house. Mason loved it!

Racing Aunt Harleigh down the slide.

Rocking out with Daddy

You know he's obsessed when he's riding a truck and has one in his hand!
